Six missing after landslide on Beijing's outskirts

Six people are reportedly missing after a rain-triggered landslide struck Zhaitang township west of Beijing early Monday morning, local authorities said.

By 5 a.m., local police had received reports of 11 people missing, and five of them have been found.

The Beijing government said rescue operations are still underway.

Heavy rains hit Beijing Sunday afternoon, causing flash floods and landslides in some areas.
