Schools reopen in Bogota after nearly a year

Some120 publicschools andnearly 600daycare and privateschools in Bogota,Colombia wereallowedtore-open this week afteralmost a yearofvirtuallearning.

Schools in rural areas need fundingtoprovideadequatebio security measures.

InBogotaalone, officials said they hadtoinvest almost six million dollars in 110 different publicschoolstofix bathrooms and create adequate space for social distancing.

It’s achallenge that will take timetoreach some of the more remote regions of the country.
