Two men have been arrested in east England's Bedfordshire on suspicion of "terrorism-related offences, " local police was quoted as saying on Tuesday.

Bedfordshire Police confirmed that members of Britain's East Counter Terrorism Investigation Unit (ECTIU) executed warrants at two properties in Bedford on Monday.

The men, both in their mid-20s, were taken to Greyfriars Police Station.

They were interviewed and later released on police bail pending further inquiries, and some property was seized, police said.
