Thecollectionincludesonegold,foursilverandfourcoinsforgeneralcirculation,accordingtotheRio2016website.
"ThecoinshavebeenapartoftheGamessinceHelsinki1952andit'sagreathonortolaunchthefirstRio2016coinsinpartnershipwiththeBrazilianCentralBank,"saidRio2016PresidentCarlosNuzman.
"EveryBrazilianwillhavethechancetohaveasmallpartoftheGames,andoftheirowncountry,intheirhands."
Atotalof36coinswillbelaunchedby2016tocelebratethefirstOlympicGamesinSouthAmerica.
ThefirstgoldcoinfeaturestheChristtheRedeemerstatueononesideandahomagetothe100msprintontheother.
ThesilvercoinsshowsiconicRiolandmarksandathletescompetinginOlympicsports.
