2017 trends: M&A mega deals and tech IPOs

2016 was a robust year for the M&A market. Although it didn't quite match the heady levels of 2015, 2016 was the second strongest year globally since 2007 and it was the second best year ever in the Americas. We expect the M&A market to remain active in 2017.

Investors are starved for strong growth opportunities and many of these companies are growing at 20, 30, 40% per year or even significantly higher, which we believe will lead to a very significant 2017 technology IPO calendar
