China's Guizhou fights COVID-19 with foreign countries, organizations

Southwest China's Guizhou Province has provided medical materials and shared COVID-19 treatment experience with 14 countries and organizations abroad since the virus outbreak, according to the provincial foreign affairs office.

The office said since the epidemic outbreak in China, Guizhou has received over 50,000 items of medical supply donation from other countries, including France, Japan and the United States.

Lu Xiaoying, head of the Guizhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said while Guizhou has made progress in epidemic prevention and control, the province would try its best to support countries and organizations in need or have difficulties in the fight against the pandemic.

So far, the province has provided medical supplies including surgical masks, protective clothing, gloves and goggles for countries such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, Morocco, Pakistan, Canada, New Zealand, Italy and Australia, and international organizations, according to Lu.

Apart from medical supplies, the province has also shared COVID-19 treatment experiences and techniques with them.
