Duterte inoculated with Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine

Philippine PresidentRodrigo Duterte was vaccinated with China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine on Monday night.

In a Facebook live video posted by senator Bong Go, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III administered the president's shot.

"I feel good, and I have been expecting this shot, vaccination a long time ago," Duterte said after receiving the vaccine.

On Monday, the Philippines' Department of Health reported 7,255 new infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 1,062,225. The country's official death toll now stands at 17,525.
