China urges U.S. to stop suppression of Chinese companies

China on Friday urged the United States to "correctly view China's military-civilian integration policy and stop the unreasonable suppression of specific Chinese companies on the pretext of national security," the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Monday.U.S. President Donald Trump last week signed an executive order banning Americans from investing in Chinese firms thatWashington says are linked to China's military.The statement by the Ministry of Commerce echoes similar comments made by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs made last Friday.
