COVID-19 cases in Turkey rise to 18,135, with 356 deaths

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on Thursday reported 2,456 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 79 new deaths in Turkey.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Turkey has climbed to 18,135, while the death toll has reached 356, Koca tweeted.

Turkey conducted a total of 18,757 tests in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests carried out to 125,556, the minister said.

Koca added that 415 patients have recovered since the beginning of the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, with 1,101 patients still being treated at intensive care units.
