Some U.S. states are reopening: Here's their number of COVID-19 cases

Arkansas

Though there was no stay-at-home order in place, there were some restrictions in place throughout the state. Governor Asa Hutchinson announced the steps to reopen gyms, hair salons and eventually restaurants and larger indoor venues before the end of May, as the first step in the state's reopening. The state's department of health reports a total of 3,527 confirmed cases.

Tennessee

As of May 5, the state reported 13,690 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 119 confirmed cases. The state began to reopen on April 30, with restaurants and retail stores allowed to open a few days earlier.

Pennsylvania

The state's stay-at-home order will end on May 8. The state's government will use a "three-phase matrix" approach to determine when counties and regions are ready to reopen. Governor Tom Wolf will issue guidelines for businesses to reopen. So far, the state has reported 51,845 total COVID-19 cases.

North Carolina

Governor Roy Cooper said the state would begin the first phase of restarting the economy with a revised stay-at-home order that will go into effect on May 8. This will allow for some retail businesses to reopen, but with some restrictions and guidelines for employers.Currently, there are 12,758 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state.
