LinkedIn Corporation, a business and employment-oriented social networking service, is helping Chinese companies recruit talents in Silicon Valley.

At an event, called Technical Career Talk, on Saturday at Computer History Museum in Mountain View, south of San Francisco, executives in charge of human resources and technology development from 10 Chinese companies met about 200 LinkedIn members.

The executives, including those from Di Di, a Chinese ride-hailing operation; Midea, an electrical appliance manufacturer; LeEco, an online video streaming and consumer electronics business; Baidu, a web services company; Ctrip, a travel services provider; and NetEase, an Internet technology firm, were there to engage professionals in the technology business.

The companies have listed a number of areas they wish to find people from international talent pool to work on, such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, machine learning, self-driving vehicle, smart terminal and information security.

The attendees, according to a LinkedIn public relations official based in China, have been screened and recommended by the networking service headquartered in Mountain View, in northern California on the U.S. west coast. A similar event is scheduled to take place in New York, on the East Coast.
