New James Bond film 'No Time To Die' postponed by seven months due to COVID-19

The release date for the new James Bond film, 'No Time To Die' has been postponed by seven months due to COVID-19.

The film, which will feature Daniel Craig for the final time, was scheduled to be released in U.K. cinemas from 2 April 2020.

"MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of NO TIME TO DIE will be postponed until November 2020," the official James Bond Twitter account announced on Wednesday.

The postponement comes after fans called for the release to be delayed in the interest of public health safety.

Stars had been expected to turn out for the premiere of the film in London on 31 March.

It will now be released in the U.K. on 12 November and in the U.S. on 25 November.

The postponement comes as the U.K. announced it has recorded the biggest daily increase in COVID-19 cases. The country now has 87 confirmed cases.
