Delovoy Kazakhstan, a major local newspaper in Kazakhstan, on Saturday released an article titled "What is the secret of rapid development of China" to decode six secrets of how the Communist Party of China (CPC) has achieved great achievements in the past 100 years since its founding in 1921.
The story analyzed how the CPC has grown from a small party of about 50 members into the world's largest ruling party, with more than 90 million members and leads the country into the world's second-largest economy.
According to the article, the CPC has not only taken Marxism as its guide but also combined Marxist principles with its national conditions and adjusted its policies in time with changes in domestic and foreign situations.
Second, the CPC upholds democratic centralism, which is a close combination of democracy and centralism. Per the story, the system has institutional advantages in integrating resources to complete important tasks, thereby enhancing the Party's cohesion and readiness to meet challenges.
Third, the article held that the CPC regards development as the top priority in governing and rejuvenating the country and has remained committed to reform and opening-up as well as a scientific outlook on development, laying a solid foundation for further development.
Fourth, the Party always adheres to a people-centered political stance and represents the fundamental interests of the greatest possible majority of the Chinese people without any special interests of its own, the article said.
According to the 2020 Trust Barometer published by Edelman, a leading global consultancy in public relations, China has been topping the chart for three consecutive years among the world's major economies, with 90 percent of the population trusting its government.
Fifth, the Party has actively exercised strict discipline on all fronts to always keep abreast of the times and resolutely cracked down on corruption, which is also the most distinctive feature of the CPC that helps the Party keep its advanced nature and withstand various tests, according to the article.
Last, the CPC insists on the principle of a community with a shared future for mankind and regards building a harmonious world of lasting peace and common prosperity as its mission, the article said, adding that in recent years, China has actively promoted the Belt and Road Initiative and put forward its own suggestions for the resolution of international and regional conflicts and the improvement of global governance.
