**ISLAMABAD, Oct. 17 (APD) ** -- The Pakistan Tennis Federation has announced on Tuesday three directors for the three back-to-back International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) tournaments to be held in the country later this year, officials said.

Sanaullah Aman, Secretary of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), said that the tournament directors include Asim Shafique, Gul Rehman and Kamran Khalil, who will be responsible to organize the three events in December this year.

All the three events will be in December 2017 at the courts of the Pakistan Sports Complex in the country’s capital of Islamabad.

“The first tournament will start on December 4 while the second will commence on December 11 and the third tournament will be kicked off on December 18,” he said.

The three events have been allotted to Pakistan by the ITF after its officials gave a positive report about the quality of arrangements and security situation during the Davis Cup final between Pakistan and Thailand earlier this year.

“The successful holding of Davis Cup final had led to allotment of more international events in Pakistan by ITF,” the official said.

Aman said foreign players from countries, including Russia, Sri Lanka, India and others, are expected to be seen in action in the three tournaments, adding that the visiting foreign players would be provided fool-proof security in the tournaments.

According to the official, Pakistan will also host its Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group-I tie against South Korea scheduled to be held from February 2 to 4, 2018.
