Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) on Friday reported two new COVID-19 confirmed cases, taking the total number in Hong Kong to 1,065.

Head of the CHP's Communicable Disease Branch Chuang Shuk-kwan told a press briefing that the new cases involved two travelers from Britain and the Netherlands respectively and there has been no new local infection reported in Hong Kong for seven consecutive days.

The CHP still urged the public to maintain an appropriate social distancing and avoid social activities, such as meal gatherings, to minimize the risk of infection.
