Myanmar president leaves for ASEAN-Korea commemorative summit

Myanmar President U Thein Sein left Nay Pyi Taw Wednesday on a visit to South Korea to attend the 25th ASEAN-Korea Commemorative Summit in Busan as chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), official sources said.

The summit, which lasts from Dec. 10 to 12, will be held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO).

3,500 people including officials, chief executive officers ( CEOs) and journalists from ROK and the 10 ASEAN member countries are expected to attendthe event.

Bilateral and summit meetings will take place on the same occasion.
