China to stop recognizing BNO passport as a travel, ID document

China will not recognize British National Overseas (BNO) passports as a valid travel and ID document starting January 31, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

"From January 31, China will no longer recognize the so-called BNO passport as a travel document and ID document, and reserve the right to take further actions," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian told reporters.
