JAKARTA, Nov. 25 (APD) - Chinese and Indonesian institutions that actively promoting arts and cultural performances in the respective countries signed here on Friday a cooperation to further expand cultural exchanges missions between the two countries and in countries passed through by Silk Road initiatives.
The signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) document to officiate the cooperation was signed by President of China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG) Li Jin Sheng and President Director of Indonesia’s arts promoter institution, Ciputra Artpreneur, Rina Ciputra Sastrawinata in the latter’s office here.
The signing marked the inception of Indonesian cultural performance missions in the Silk Road International League of Theaters (SRILT) organization that actively promoting exchanges of cultural missions among countries joined the Silk Road Initiative.
“Through this cooperation we’d like to see more of Indonesian cultural performances in China as part of collaboration in SRILT. Besides that, we also expect to see the emergence of more cultural performer groups here in Indonesia,” Li said after signing session.
The document was signed for a cooperation between Ciputra Artpreneur and a CAEG subsidiary, China Performing Arts Agency (CPAA) which is now joined by 70 theater groups from China’s 27 provinces that perform more than 5,000 performances each year, watched by 4.2 million ones.
Li said that the document signing would eventually pave the way for Indonesian cultural missions to perform in countries joined in SRILT.
SRILT itself is an opened and inclusive organization joined by cultural institutions in countries passed by Silk Road Initiative.
Li added that CEG would provide assistance in theater management skill for Indonesian groups as well as stage technology so as to make the performance more impressive.
Besides that, the cooperation would also accommodate the broadcasting of Indonesian cultural performances in countries joined in SRILT and in the world through the internet.
Besides running the CPAA, CAEG also runs its business in stage performance, exhibition and cultural tourism.
In her remarks during the session, Rina Ciputra Sastrawinata said that Artpreneur warmly welcomed the cooperation, saying it would facilitate and promote Indonesian cultural groups eager to perform in SRILT stages.
