Multiple people injured in shooting in Virginia

Multiple people were injured in a shooting at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Friday, U.S. media reported.

Dispatchers said the first call reporting shots fired came in around 11:24 p.m. local time. Police said they went into the area at around 1:15 a.m. local time.

The injured people reportedly sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

Authorities said more information would be released as it becomes available.
