Vietnamese online media highlight party chief's visit to China

Vietnamese online media on Wednesday highlighted the visit by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China.

The e-Portal of Vietnamese government, quoting sources from Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA, reported on Wednesday that China attaches great importance to the visit of Vietnamese high- ranking delegation headed by Trong while welcoming the guests with the highest reception rituals for the head of state.

Thanh Nien (Young People) online newspaper said, "A motorcycle team escorted a car of CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong into the Great Hall of the People. The Communist Party of China (CPC) General Secretary and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a warm welcoming ceremony to Trong and his delegation."

Lao Dong (Labor) online newspaper ran an article titled " Beautiful photos shot on the visit of CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China."

Other media such as Vietnam's state-run radio VOV, state-run television VTV, the National Assembly Television, Tuoi Tre (The Youth), Dan Tri (Knowledge for People), Tien Phong (The Pioneer) and VNExpress online newspapers among others covered detailed activities of Trong's tour to China.

Trong is visiting China from Tuesday to Friday.
