A total of 26,985 people have been told to isolate by the government's contact tracing system, the Department of Health has said.

Around 85% of the 31,794 contacts who were identified by the system between 28 May and 3 June were able to be contacted and told to stay indoors.

The test and trace system is believed to be key to helping ease lockdown measures.
