China Overseas Investment Fair to kick off in November, Beijing

The 9th China Overseas Investment Fair is scheduled to open in Beijing on November 21 to 22, 2017, which aims to consolidate results brought by the Belt and Road Forum and further advance international capacity cooperation.

Themed “Enhancing International Capacity Cooperation and Promoting ‘Belt and Road’ Construction”, the event will feature a “1+1+N” mode, which includes opening ceremony, one major forum and several sub-forums focusing on different countries and continents, as well as key areas such as new energy, photoelectric cable, supply chain finance, Sino-Euro bullet train, cross-border investment, risk prevention, security defense, and culture.

In addition, international investment briefings will be held during the fair to publicize investment environment and policies of different countries.

Chinese senior officials, business tycoons and professionals from different sectors will present at the fair, who will interpret the economy trends, policies and share achievements brought by the Belt and Road Initiative.

The forum is cosponsored by China Overseas Development Association and “Belt and Road” Supply Chain Finance Alliance, and approved by National Development and Reform Commission , and jointly hosted by China Cable Chamber of Commerce.

As one of important conferences featuring Chinese overseas investment, the fair has been successfully held eight times since 2009.

Every year, domestic and foreign participants from more than 100 countries and regions take part in the fair, contributing to the world economic growth and Chinese enterprises’ bringing in and going global.

This forum has become a major platform for Chinese enterprises to connect with the world market, while foreign investors can promote the bilateral and multilateral investment cooperation with Chinese counterparts.
