Leading parliamentary candidate killed in blast in S. Afghanistan

Jabar Qahraman, a candidate from Helmand Province, was killed in a blast inside his campaign office in Lashkargha City on Wednesday morning, with several others injured, TOLO news reported, citing Omar Zwak, a spokesperson for the provincial governor.

The explosives were placed inside Qahraman's sofa, added the spokesperson.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
