Chinese mainland reports 22 new COVID-19 cases, 17 of them in Xinjiang

The Chinese health authority said Monday that it received reports of 22 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Sunday, of which 17 were domestically transmitted in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The Chinese mainland on Sunday recorded five new COVID-19 cases from overseas.

No deaths related to the disease were registered Sunday, according to the commission.
