Beijing ups COVID-19 emergency response, strengthens prevention, control

Beijing reported 31 new confirmed domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases and six new asymptomatic cases on Tuesday, the municipal health commission said Wednesday.

The Chinese capital upgraded its emergency response to COVID-19 from level III to II starting Tuesday, a local official announced.

Beijing has strengthened community-level disease prevention and control in response to the resurgence of domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases.
