China donates another batch of medical equipment to BiH

The Chinese Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has donated a new batch of medical equipment to Republika Srpska (RS), one of the two entities of BiH, to help the entity combat COVID-19, the embassy announced on Monday.

The donation including reagents, protective clothing, N95 masks, face masks, shoe covers and gloves was made on Sunday.

"This batch of medical equipment was delivered by the Chinese government on a chartered plane. the amount is not large, but it shows the sincere friendship of the Chinese people towards the counterpart of BiH," said Chinese Ambassador to BiH Ji Ping.

Ji revealed that China is discussing with BiH to build a communication platform for health experts of the two countries to enhance the exchange of experience in fighting the epidemic.

Alen Seranic, minister of health and social welfare of Republika Srpska, said that China immediately provided support after the outbreak in BiH and once again extended a helping hand today generously. These fully demonstrates friendship between BiH and China, according to the minister.

To date, BiH has reported 1,565 coronavirus cases and 60 deaths since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in BiH on March 6.
