It is now the right time for viewing the artistically appealing Hani terraces that present the magical scene of "four seasons and different scenes in a mountain". The Hani terraces are situated in Yuanyang County of the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

As a resilient system for soil and water reservation, the Hani terraces were created by the intelligent ancestors of the ethnic Hani people more than 1,300 years ago.

The Hani terraces were added to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List in 2013.
