9th China Overseas Investment Fair to open in November, Beijing

Beijing, Nov 1 (APD) – The 2017 International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum and the 9th China Overseas Investment Fair is scheduled to open in the China National Convention Center, Beijing on November 21 to 22, 2017, which aims to consolidate results brought by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and further ramp up international capacity cooperation.

Themed “Enhancing International Capacity Cooperation and Promoting ‘Belt and Road’ Construction”, the event will feature a “1+1+N” mode, which includes opening ceremony, one major forum and 26 sub-forums, negotiating and promoting events.

In addition, international investment briefings will be held during the fair to publicize investment environment and policies of different countries.

Representatives from about 100 countries and regions, who specialize in key areas such as infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, e-commerce, logistics, tourism, construction, railway, engineering machinery, aerospace, telecommunication and new energy, have been invited.

Chinese senior officials, business tycoons and professionals from different sectors will also present at the fair, who will interpret the economy trends, policies and share achievements brought by the Belt and Road Initiative.

The forum is approved by National Development and Reform Commission, and cosponsored by China Overseas Development Association and “Belt and Road” Supply Chain Finance Alliance, and jointly hosted by China Cable Chamber of Commerce.

As one of important conferences featuring Chinese overseas investment, the fair has been successfully held eight times since 2009.

Every year, domestic and foreign participants from more than 100 countries and regions take part in the fair, contributing to the world economic growth and Chinese enterprises’ bringing in and going global.

This forum has become a major platform for Chinese enterprises to connect with the world market, while foreign investors can promote the bilateral and multilateral investment cooperation with Chinese counterparts.
