Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated the completion of the structure that will soon make up the key attraction at Shanghai Disneyland's eighth and newest themed land, Zootopia, on Wednesday.

Leaders and representatives from the resort where joined by leaders from the Administrative Commission of Shanghai International Resort and Shanghai Shendi Group signed the final steel roof deck before its installation, ushering in a major construction milestone.

Zootopia, the mammalian metropolis, will be the first-ever land of its kind in the Disneyland catalog, a major new attraction that blends Disney's storytelling and state-of-the-art technologies to bring the eponymous Academy Award-winning animated blockbuster and its characters to life.

Although the structure is now whole, a Disney spokesperson told China.org.cn that more work remains and that visitors still have a while to wait until the themed land opens.
