China eyes comprehensive natural gases cooperation with Turkmenistan

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday that China is willing to discuss comprehensive cooperation in the field of natural gases with Turkmenistan.

Wang made the remarks as he held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov in Xi'an, the capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, ahead of

the second China + Central Asia (C+C5) foreign ministers meeting

on Wednesday.

Wang said that China sees Turkmenistan as its long-term cooperative partner in the natural gases, adding that the two countries should also greatly expand other areas of cooperation besides the energy cooperation, including trade, investment, technology as well as other fields.
