Japan's Q2 GDP shrinks annualized 27.8 pct, worst in decades

Japan's economy in the April-June quarter shrank an annualized real 27.8 percent from the previous quarter due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is the worst contraction in 40 years, government data showed on Monday.
