U.S. rolls out apps to alert people to COVID-19 exposure

New Mexico has become the latest U.S. state to launch what’s called a COVID-19 exposure notification app.

The phone app tells those who’ve downloaded itwhetherthey’ve been aroundsomeonewho​hastested positive for the coronavirus.​

But, as CGTN America’s Hendrik Sybrandy reports,​a reluctance to embrace the technology is calling into questionhow effectiveit can be.
