Thailand's Ministry of Public Health on Friday confirmed one more case of COVID-19, raising the total case in Thailand to 48.
"As of Friday, we can confirm a new COVID-19 case, a British man from London. He was in Hong Kong for a transit flight on Feb. 29 before arriving in Thailand," announced the Ministry of Public Health on Friday.
"He fell ill here and sought medical treatment at a private hospital on March 3 before he was referred to the Central Chest Institute of Thailand," the ministry said.
Sixteen patients are now receiving treatment in hospitals and 31 persons have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Thailand recorded one death from COVID-19.
