S.Korea's consumer confidence rises to three-year high eflecting growing expectations for economic recovery, central bank data showed Tuesday.

Composite consumer sentiment index (CCSI) added 1 point from a month earlier to 107 in November, the highest since Feb. 2011 when the figure recorded 109, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK). The index was based on survey response from 2,021 households conducted between Nov. 11 and 19.

The reading stayed above the benchmark 100 for 11 straight months, reflecting the continued economic recovery. The country's real gross domestic product (GDP) gained 1.1 percent in the third quarter from three months earlier, the highest since 1.3 percent tallied in the first quarter of 2011.

Sub-indices showed an upward picture. Consumer sentiment on current living standards increased 1 point from a month earlier to 92 in November, and the figure for prospective living standards gained 1 point to 100. Sentiment on current economic conditions jumped 3 points, and the reading for prospective economic situation advanced 3 points.

Inflation expectations among consumers over the next 12 months came in at an annual rate of 2.9 percent in November, unchanged from the prior month.
