South Korea approves DPRK taekwondo delegation visit

South Korea’s Unification Ministry has approved a visit by a taekwondo delegation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The delegation to be sent by Pyongyang will conduct a demonstration and attend the World Taekwondo Champions slated for June 24-30 in Muju, South Korea.

The visit will be the DPRK federation’s first in 10 years, and the first interaction with South Korea in the field of sport since President Moon Jae-in took office.
