Offline training is strictly prohibited amid virus outbreak: Chinese authority

Offline training programs in any form are strictly prohibited amid the COVID-19 outbreak, China's education authority warned Friday.

Training activities that gather people together in any form should not be held, added the warning notice released by the office of the education supervision commission of the State Council.

The commission also ordered online training service providers not to teach students content beyond the required teaching syllabus.

Violators will face the toughest possible punishment, it noted.
