Israel's Ministry of Health reported 229 new cases on Tuesday, bringing the total infections to 13,942. The number of daily recoveries from COVID-19 in Israel has reached a record high of 458 on Tuesday, bringing the total recoveries to 4,507, the ministry said.
The previous highest daily recoveries was recorded on April 15, when 368 patients were tested negative in Israel.
The number of deaths from coronavirus in Israel reached 184, after seven patients died on Tuesday.
The number of patients in serious condition has dropped from 149 to 139, out of 505 patients currently hospitalized.
Also on Tuesday, Israel's Prime Minister's office announced the tightening of measures to fight novel coronavirus ahead of the state's Independence Day.
A full closure is expected to begin in the afternoon on April 28, continuing on the Independence Day on April 29, until the morning of April 30.
The closure will include a ban on moving away from home for more than 100 meters.
