Xi, Macron hold phone talks over DPRK issue

China hopes France, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, will play a constructive role in alleviating the situation on the Korean Peninsula and back the restarting of talks, President Xi Jinping told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in a phone conversation on Friday.
