Pos Malaysia Thursday launched the Typhoon Haiyan Humanitarian Aid Stamp to support the relief efforts in the Philippines.

The stamp campaign to be held over three months is the first such initiative in the country.

The stamp will be sold at RM10 (about 3 U.S. dollars) each with RM6 (about 2dollars) channeled to efforts to help the victims. The stamp will be available at all post offices throughout Malaysia.

The super typhoon which hit the Philippines last Friday has caused grave devastation in the provinces of Leyte, Tacloban and Pulau Samar, leaving more than 2,300 people dead while thousands are still reported missing.
