5,090 new coronavirus cases reported on Chinese mainland

China confirmed 5,090 new coronavirus cases on Thursday with 121 new deaths reported.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland to 63,851 and the cumulative death toll to 1,380.

On the same day, the country said 1,081 new patients were discharged from hospital, bringing the total of recovered cases to 6,723.

The numbers of confirmed cases in Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and China's Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 53 (one dead, one recovered)

Macao: 10 (three recovered)

Taiwan: 18 (one recovered)
