Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said he is expecting a difficult game when his side entertains struggling Mallorca in the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium on Wednesday night.

Real Madrid lead FC Barcelona in the league table on head to head goal difference, but Barca could retake the lead if they take a point from their home game to Athletic Club Bilbao on Tuesday night.

Zidane has Eden Hazard and Sergio Ramos as injury doubts for the game, while midfielder Casemiro is suspended after completing a cycle of bookings in Madrid's controversial win away to Real Sociedad on Sunday night.

"Mallorca are going to look to take all three points and they have players who have shown they can cause us problems," said Zidane.

The coach was asked about recent controversies regarding referees after a series of contentions decisions in Madrid's first three games since the return of football to Spain.

"Everyone has their job to do and I have mine. I have my opinion, but I am not going to get involved. One day it's the referees, the next day it's the times, there is always something," commented the coach.

"We have eight games to play and tomorrow (Wednesday) we have a very important game," said Zidane.

"The fixture calendar is what it is, I can't change it, so what we have as coach and players is try and rest, because we have 11 games in very little time and we have to look after the details of our post-game recovery," explained the coach.
