Tokyo shares inch down by break on concerns over Greece's default

Tokyo shares ended the morning session slightly lower Thursday following losses in the overnight U.S. stocks market and sentiment here was further weighed down by concerns over a possible default in Greece.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched down 21.90 points, or 0.10 percent, from Wednesday to 20,846.13.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 3.87 points, or 0.23 percent, at 1, 676.02.
