These Chinese experts from the Red Cross Society of China will train Cuban disaster relief worker, share theoretical knowledge and show how to set up camp tents, Li Qinghua, a senior official from the Chinese charity organization said.

On Friday, China sent 86 tons of humanitarian aid, including tents, electronics, cushions, water dispensers, lighting, and blankets to the hurricane-hit country.

People are seen on a flooded street as Hurricane Irma turns toward the Florida Keys on Saturday, in Havana, Cuba, September 9, 2017.

Six ships loaded with rice are expected to arrive in Cuba next month.

Irma, the strongest hurricane ever registered in the Atlantic, killed at least 10 people in Cuba, displaced 1.7 million, and caused widespread flooding and extensive damage to infrastructure, including hotels and the power grids.
