Tulips are large and brightly colored bulbous plants. They are popular ornamental plants worldwide, and spring is their blooming season. A tulip festival themed on "flowers and paintings" is being held at Beijing International Flower Port. The flower arrangement exhibition was inspired by Claude Monet, founder of French Impressionism.

The sea of flowers is composed of a variety of bulbous flowers and new herbaceous seasonal flowers. According to Guo Feng, who works at Beijing International Flower Port, tulips of different flowering times have been planted together so people can enjoy their beauty from April to early May.
