Sea of clouds envelop the Gubeikou Great Wall in Beijing

The Gubeikou section of the Great Wall was shrouded in a sea of clouds in Miyun District, northeastern Beijing. It is one of the most important passes of the Great Wall of China and has witnessed ceaseless wars and conflicts in history.

Built along a rolling mountain range, the Gubeikou section hasn't been reconstructed. You can catch a glimpse of its past glory walking inside.
