A total of 488 people in Israel were tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,930, the Ministry of Health said.
This was the biggest single-day rise in Israel in the number of new cases of COVID-19, or novel coronavirus.
Of the 349 patients being treated in hospitals across Israel, 34 are in serious condition and 45 in moderate condition.
Of the other 1,581 patients, three have died and 53 have recovered, while 652 are under home quarantine. Many others are under home quarantine or being treated in the hotels that are turned into treatment facilities.
