28 people were killed and 82 others injured in a triple suicide attack in northeast Nigeria on Tuesday, according to a member of the local civilian defense forces.

A female suicide bomber blew herself up and killed 30 others at a market in northeast Nigeria on Tuesday, local officials said. The attack bears the typical style of Boko Haram militants.

Two more suicide bombers detonated their devices at the gates to a nearby refugee camp, injuring many people, an emergency service official said.

83 people were injured in three explosions near the city of Maiduguri, epicenter of the long-running conflict between government forces and Boko Haram.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Borno State is located in Nigeria's northeast region and has been a flash-point of attacks perpetrated by Boko Haram since 2009, when the sect launched its insurgency targeting churches, security facilities, schools and villages.
