Xie Feng: The business community should be the “responsible stakeholder” in China-U.S. relations

On June 28, the Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng delivered a speech during the breakfast meeting with member companies of the American Advanced Medical Technology Association.

Ambassador Xie said there is a Chinese idiom saying “Peace makes wealth.” The business community will be the first to feel the impact of a deteriorating U.S.-China relationship. Business leaders should take practical actions to bring China-U.S. relations on the right track and safeguard the market economy for the benefit of both the people and the world.

Xie said the entrepreneurship of having a broad vision, an open mind to cooperate, and the courage to be a pioneer is exactly what the world needs today. He encouraged the business community to be the “responsible stakeholder” in China-U.S. relations.
