British parliament members (MPs) have voted to block Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s bid to takeout the nation from European Union (EU) bloc without any deal on October 31.
The MPs also rejected Johnson’s plan to call for an election two weeks before the scheduled exit.
Johnson’s opposing camp said that that parliament should be able to pass the EU Bill prior to month-long parliament suspension planned by Johnson next week.
The bill should be completed on Thursday of Friday before further consideration conducted by The House of Commons on Monday, British Labor Party said in a recent Tweeter posting.
The party stated that they will only back the poll once it makes sure Johnson is unable to follow through on his threat to take Britain out of the EU without deal by October 31.
Britain is now in uncertain situation to find out how and when would it leave the EU after the 2016 referendum voted to do so.
In related development Johnson will face another legal challenge on Thursday over his order to suspend the parliament from next week until 14 October.
Johnson said earlier that he wants to strike a deal with EU leaders to allow for an orderly withdrawal from the bloc at the end of next month after 46 years of membership.
