Indonesia's Mount Semeru spews hot ash and clouds

Indonesia's Semeru volcano sent huge plumes of ash and smoke into the air Saturday in the East Java province just after 5pm local time. There were no immediate evacuations, but people who live in the villages on the slopes of the volcano are being told to be vigilant in looking for signs of danger by the National Disaster Mitigation Agency.
